The Thick & Sexy Collision Model Contest Overview:

It's no secret that my publisher, Tim'm West, is a King chaser or that I am what some may euphemistically refer to as "a man of size," likewise the men who people my stories come in a variety of average, thick and even underdeveloped sizes, men rarely seen in contemporary Black gay literature. On those occasions when the traditionally muscled body boy shows up in my pages, it is for commentary and purpose, not eye candy. As a thick Black man who feels it's important to see myself affirmatively reflected in my culture, I informed my publisher that the original model selected for my book cover, while beautiful, had been given plenty of forums on my brothers' covers. My publisher carnivorously agreed: it was time for something meatier. But who?

Well, possibly you! Or your best friend, partner, uncle, barber, frat brother, workout buddy. Whoever he is, we just want him a sexy man of color with a thick to muscle thick frame. That said, this is not a contest for the hungry, the Adonisly chiseled, and all those face Gods out there since the pic is only from the chin to the waist. So, bring it thick and sexy and you may be the cover model for my book, Collisions, for years to come.

Eligibility:

You must be 18 years or older to enter. The winner must be willing to sign over all rights to the final photo used for the cover forgoing any other renumeration other than the prizes awarded to the winning contestant. We prefer that models be thick to muscle thick men of color.

How To Enter:

To enter, e-mail us a clear, well lit high resolution (1MB or higher) jpg. picture of yourself in the exact same pose that Tim'm West is holding (The selected pose is central to the final graphic design for the book, so no other pose will be considered).

You may submit up to three (3) pics of this pose, but make sure you have good lighting and a clear, unencumbered view (which means don't take a pic of yourself in a mirror or dark room)! If you make the first round cut, we will choose only one (1) of our favorites of your pics and put it up for a national.

Award:

The winner will win $250 cash prize and two free copies of Collisions once a final copy is printed and published.

We will post our top 10 model picks from your submissions for a national vote for who should be the "Thicker Boi Model" for Collisions. Voters can only submit an e-mail vote once for their top three picks. Models are allowed to and even encouraged to campaign for their picture to be selected.

The Winner

We will tally up the votes and name a winner of the first "Thick & Sexy Collisions Model" for Red Dirt Publishing (in June). The winner awarded their cash prize.

The Book Release

The release of Collisions: A Collection of Intersections and the model's national debut! The winner will be awarded their complimentary copies as book prizes after this date.
